Portimão FIA European – 04/05

It was a tough and intense weekend here in Portimão for the second round of the FIA European Championship 2025. The weather conditions made everything even more challenging: from heavy rain to drying track and constantly slippery asphalt, it was a battle from start to finish.

The weekend started with good pace — I felt confident during free practice and even set the fastest time in one of my sessions. Unfortunately, I made some mistakes in qualifying, which didn’t go as planned and forced me to start the heats from P18 in my group — a difficult spot on such a competitive grid.

Despite a solid pace and fighting spirit, the heats didn’t go the way I hoped. I got caught in two separate incidents that happened right in front of me, with no real chance to avoid them. Even in the Super Heat, where I was recovering well, I came across several karts stopped mid-corner and, once again, got involved in an unavoidable contact that ruined the race.

Unfortunately, I didn’t make it to the final, and that’s disappointing. Still, I’m going home knowing I gave my best, showed good pace in free practice and races, and that I’ll learn from these mistakes to come back stronger in the next rounds.

Now it’s time to reset and focus — in just a few days I’ll be back on track for some important Formula 4 testing.
