This weekend in Portimão started with good speed during the first practice sessions. Unfortunately, I made some mistakes in qualifying and didn’t manage it as well as I should have, which forced me to start 18th in my group.
Starting so far back made the heats much more complicated, with a lot of traffic and very tough races right from the beginning. Despite pushing hard, I wasn’t able to climb back up the field as I had hoped. In addition, I got caught up in a couple of incidents that happened in front of me, with no real fault of my own, which forced me to retire from two heats.
I’m not leaving this weekend with the satisfaction I was aiming for, but it’s all part of my growth journey. Now, I have some important Formula 4 tests coming up this week, and I’m determined to push hard and prepare myself in the best possible way for the next races.
