The weekend that has just ended in Misano marked my debut in the Italian Formula 4 Championship with Trident.

It was the first race of the season and the beginning of a very important journey for me. The level of the championship is extremely high, with 47 drivers on the grid, and I know that this year will be a big challenge, but also a great opportunity to grow, learn and gain experience.

My goal is to complete as many kilometres as possible, get to know the car better and better, work with the team and improve session after session. Every race weekend will be important to build confidence, rhythm and awareness.

In Misano, it was not easy to immediately find the right feeling. The weather conditions changed several times during practice, and this made the work on the setup more complex, forcing us to adapt quickly and to keep searching for the best direction. Despite this, I am happy with the work we did together with the team.

For Trident, this is also its debut in the Italian Formula 4 Championship, after so much experience in categories such as Formula 2, Formula 3 and Formula Regional. We are starting this journey together, and weekends like the one in Misano are fundamental to collect data, learn and grow race after race.

In Race 1, I had a great fight on track, battling a lot and managing to finish in P13. It was definitely the most positive race of the weekend, the one where I was able to express myself better and find a good rhythm.

In Race 2, I had a little more difficulty finding the right pace and finished in P20, still bringing home more important kilometres and experience.

In Race 4, the Final, I finished in P24. The result could certainly have been better, but in such a competitive grid, with such a high level and in my first experience as a rookie in this category, every lap was important for learning. Also in the Final, I tried to fight, stay focused and give my best until the end, taking home useful indications to keep growing.

I leave Misano with experience, data and awareness. We are only at the beginning of this journey and I know there will be a lot to learn, but the motivation is high and the work with the team has already started in the right direction.

Now we are focused on the next round, in two weeks’ time at the Vallelunga Circuit. The goal will be to keep growing, take another step forward and build more and more confidence with the car, with the team and with myself.
